Bringing a Designer Toy Store Experience into the Digital World

Category: Design + Web

Tapping into the Wonderfully Weird

Cultösaurus is not your average toy store. Part designer toy shop, part art-gallery playground, part neon-soaked collector’s haven, the Florida-based storefront has built an iconic world around the strange, colorful, collectible, and completely unexpected.

So when Cultösaurus reached out to us about creating a new website, we knew the digital experience had to capture more than inventory. It had to capture the feeling of stepping inside.

We developed an updated visual identity inspired by the store’s unmistakable atmosphere, the bold spectrum of colors and characters found throughout its shelves, and close collaboration with the Cultösaurus founders. The result was a vibrant, maximalist system of neon colors, bold typography, vivid shapes, playful patterns, and visual moments designed to feel as weird, wonderful, and collectible as the brand itself.

Branding

For a store filled wall-to-wall with every color, creature, and collectible imaginable, minimalism was never the answer.

We leaned into the energy of the Cultösaurus experience with a neon-inspired color palette, expressive typography, custom patterns, cutouts, photography direction, and layered visual elements built to stop the scroll and spark curiosity. The brand system was designed to flex across the website, social media, and future marketing while staying true to the store’s wild, artful, collector-first personality.

Logo

The Cultösaurus logo already had plenty of personality, so our role was to bring it to life in new ways online. Inspired by the store’s in-person neon signage, we translated the logo and supporting type treatments into a digital neon effect using CSS and vector SVGs. The result adds flicker, glow, color, and movement throughout the website, giving visitors a little hit of that in-store magic from the moment they land on the page.

Website

With the visual identity in place, we focused on the main mission: creating a digital storefront that felt as fun and immersive as Cultösaurus itself, while still making it easy for customers to browse, discover, and buy.

Because Cultösaurus already operated a physical retail store, the website needed to connect seamlessly with its existing point-of-sale and inventory systems. We integrated online checkout with the in-store setup, helping bridge the gap between the physical and digital shopping experience.

The finished site combines bold colors, oversized typography, playful animations, and an eclectic layout to create a vibrant online home for Cultösaurus, one built to showcase the store, support sales, and invite collectors into a world that could only belong to them.
